Hello. This can not fairly be described as a review, as I am the former bassist and backing vocalist. Still, a good effort, I'm giving it 3 stars to be kind to a very young group of kids and their first album.

At any rate, I wanted to note that I did not upload this but actually FOUND it on a random search for a reference to James Redield's "The Celestine Prophecy", which was a popular book at the time.

Autumn Burning, at this time had a core membership of myself on bass, Nikki Leitgeb - vocals, and Stephen Tomasik - guitar. I believe we became very strong musicians by the end of our run which was around 1998-99. Later versions of the band included numerous skilled guitarists, percussionists, and drummers. We recorded another album, this time a CD, "The Ethereal Project" shortly before breaking up.

I listen to this now and it's difficult not to want to correct the many flaws I hear, musically speaking. I think Todd Kinsey did a great job recording and I'm still grateful for his efforts. I'd also say my musical tastes have changed and grown quite a bit since this recording. But for the time and place we were at this was a good effort, and I hope others can enjoy listening to the music over the years as much as we enjoyed writing and performing.

Thanks to Take No Prisoners for posting this recording.
